Only on when at home.

Don't use Clothes Dryer
Turn appliances off at wall
Turn lights off when leaving room

Notes*

1 fridge/freezer
Have LED lighting
Gas hot water
Gas hob Cooking
Electric 900mm newish oven

If your freezer and fridge aren't full, fill plastic containers with water and freeze. Every time the door is opened to either, the cold air rushes out and is replaced by warm air which has to be cooled down. The frozen ice bricks stay the same temperature and don't require cooling to the same extent.
If the oven is on, use it for more than one thing while it is hot. Batch cook to avoid turning appliances on more than necessary.
Try to charge phones and laptop at work where possible.
Use draught stoppers and wear jumpers in winter rather than turning the heater on immediately.

Ummm I dunno, I took the hot water pipe off my washing machine so it's only attached to cold and if I don't change the settings it cant use my hot water lol, and I try to remember to turn the hot water booster off after everyone has a shower.
Also traded my old fridge with 1.5 star rating to an older fridge but seems more cost efficient to run.
This is all i did to go from $700 power bills to $300. I'm sure if I tried harder I could go less. That electric hot water is a killer
