How long...

Answered 4 years ago

Are governments allowed to stop us leaving home? Surely after 7 months of covid, most of us staying home, the entire time, obeying rules etc shows its not going away.

What about our rights? Our freedom? Spare me the whole would you rather be dead, hyper sensativity. I know it all and have done the right thing since January, literally but feel its becoming more about controlling us then stopping covid. Because they dont seem to be stopping people and fining people especially in my area.

Obviously staying home is necessary, but its not working is it?!

So how long are we expected to literally just survive day to day? There must be a human rights lawyer who can stand up and go enough is enough. They all seem very quiet!!

Again I know we have to stay home so spare me the the saga of its the right thing. Because ive done it since January!!

Our lives will never be the same, you need to stop looking back and look forward, adapt and pivot to our new way of life. Remember the good times but know that those times will not return. It’s imperative you find a way to adapt otherwise you will be one of the people who perishes.

Me too. Too many people dont get fined for doing the qrong thing and too many government organised stuff ups caused this outbreak. Instead of being responsible he tried to blame families!

Now its all been swept under the rug.

I’m afraid this is our new normal until there is a vaccine. Isolation then freedom then isolation again to stop too many people in hospitals

I dont really agree with what you are saying, but thought id share this, my daughter has just been tested for Covid, she is a daycare worker and has been ordered to self isolate till her results come in, hospital said she must use a different bathroom to the rest of the family, but we only have one. Here’s the thing, my other children and I are not required to self isolate unless her results come back positive! So we could be unknowingly spreading the virus while out, imagine how many people are free to go out while a family member or someone they live with is waiting for results! This has really surprised me, and i think it’s a big problem that the authorities have not realised this yet.

Thats so odd. When my husband was tested, our entire family had to quarantine until his results were negative. It nearly killed us (the quarantine not the illness - theres only so much space in the house/yard to be away from each other). If I'd known I could have gone out I'd have gone on a social distance walk (away from people, no stopping)
