Has anyone tried The Fast 800 or 5:2 Diet?

Hi, I tried the original 5:2 where the two fast days were only 500 calories a day. This was too difficult for me, I was so hungry. I upped it to 800 calories and from then on I did really well. I lost weight pretty steadily. You need to eat sensibly on the other 5 days as well. This is my go-to now - it's so much easier to be very disciplined for 2 days a week rather than "dieting" every day.

Yes. I tried 5:2 first for about 1 year then did a few weeks of fast800. I recommend reading the books. You can borrow them from the library
