Can someone update me on what’s going on? I’ve just heard that there will be a two week lockdown, but has this been confirmed? Any other information involving this would be much appreciated not just for me but for others who may have not been updated also.

Another question: If daycares close will we still have to pay day fees? I pay on public holidays so I’m unsure

There is a mandatory 2 week self isolation period for anyone coming into Australia. Penalties can apply if you don’t comply with it.
No gatherings over 500 people.
No handshakes.
Keep your distance from others.
Schools are open for now but face cancellations of excursions and sporting events.

My kids school is still doing whole school assemblies. It's a school of less than 500... just

Anyone travelling into Australia from elsewhere in the world has to self isolate for 14 days, same as what NZ have introduced.
