Credit card for $5k?

I’m new to credit cards and would like to improve my credit by paying off a $5k amount. Issue is I do a lot of cash work in the tourist trade. I’m extremely confident of paying it off without trouble.
Any suggestions?

I feel like you should perhaps discuss ways to improve your credit rating by talking to a financial adviser.
My credit score went up from 700 to 800 in 2 years or less, without taking out a $5000 credit card. So that must be paying things on time and not having outstanding anythings?

you DONT need a credit card or any debt to build a credit rating.

you DONT need a credit card or any debt to build a credit rating.

You can build a credit rating through phone bills, utility bills etc.

Please don't be dumb and go onto debt for the sake of it. Debt is dumb (except for an appreciating asset like a house)
