Work burnout

Answered 2 years ago

I work part time (3 days) in an admin/ all rounder role. The past 6 months have been awful. So much on my plate, every day is really full on lately and i’m burnt out. I took 2 weeks annual leave about a month ago but when i came back i had 10 times more things to do than when i left. I’m contacted on my days off most weeks about work related issues. I’m not paid overtime. I’m so over feeling this way. Is this normal business practice or bad management??

I'd make it clear you are not able to be contacted on your days off. Then do not answer the phone, emails etc. Even if they offered overtime pay I'd still refuse, you need to have down time. If they complain I'd be looking for another job.
