To be honest, it is kind of nice to see people getting some blowback for being knobs on social media. They were probably a little heavy handed in the way the handled it though.

Freedom of speech is no longer something we have. Guess what all facebook users are under watch by the government now! Nothing you do is safe that is a fact and the more idiots bow down to dictators under this false virus which kills less than normal car crash and illness and flu does the longer it will go on. Fact.
She is arrested but no black lives matters were. Bloody hypocritical. What about those refusing covid test nope no fine. Hypocritical.

Freedom of speech is something we have never had in Australia. It’s an American concept.
And BLM protests did not happen during the stage 4 lockdown.

I'm assuming the Facebook post/event she made was public, so it's not like they were spying on her or anything 🙄

All these people who bleat that they government is invading our privacy need to take a reality check about their social media lives. So many times I look at peoples profiles and see their kids, their kids school, photos of them giving birth etc etc. Don’t whinge about privacy when you’re doing it to yourself!!!

I dont post pictures of my kids because i dont have their permission. Its not ok to put your childs picture online at all. Stupid to post school photos and photos which identify your location or kids school. Just as stupid as having their names visable on school bags etc!
As for privacy we areentitled to not have police override settings because they can. Now its fine to post information. Its EVERYONE elses choice whether they attwnd not hers. EVERYONE needs to take responsibility for their actions if people choose to protest they can accept consequences. Dont hate on one person hate on thegov who are responsible for the 2nd wave. That is a proven fact.

Whilst the censorship aspect is concerning, this woman needs to take ownership of her actions. She knew what she was posting. She never once asked her partner to take the children out of the room while she was being arrested. She kept trying to use her pregnancy as a reason not to be arrested.
What she's like outside of this incident, I don't know, and as such I won't comment on her as a person.
I WILL say though, if I was in this situation (doubtful, but ya never know) I'd prefer to keep it as far from the media as possible. Imagine, making a mistake, and deliberately casting it out to the world loud and proud. This could impact her future employability, her kids lives at school, and her husbands career.

100% THIS. It did not have to go down the way it did. She was willing to attend a protest while pregnant- the officers were more than patient with her. If she was so concerned about her other kids then take them out the room. And start learning that actions- especially illegal actions!!! have consequences

She shouldn’t of made the group but the police should of just told her to take it down and if she still continued the protest then arrest her. I don’t think she should be facing 15 years in prision that’s ridiculous.
