I am in a similar boat. I have an overhang as well from 3 c sections. Some "experts" think that it is possible to get rid of but mostly with diet. I don't like my chances though. I would be interested in knowing if anyone who has had c sections has been able to get rid of it and how.
I do alot of walking, and hiit about 2 x a week. I am well toned and my core is strong so it doesn't seem to just be about excersize.

My mum had a c section (only one though) and got back a flat tummy with no overhang at all. BUT she achieved that by unhealthy means and also, as I said, that was only after one c section.

What were her unhealthy means just out of curiosity?

1st replier:
She was anorexic for a lot of my childhood. She'd starve herself if she felt she was getting fat. She used to be very competitive with me regarding weight. Like if I was a size 8 she had to be a size 8 and she'd buy me size 10 clothes to be slightly too big.

Wow your mum was really sick. I am the same size as my daughter and we wear each other’s clothes - well she wears mine. Why on earth would she buy size 10? I love that we can buy more clothes because we are the same size and not feel guilty

Yeah, she was going through some shit. She's a lot better now, both physically and mentally. The clothing, I think, was her trying to "win". Like, she had to be skinnier, and had to be smarter, and had to have better everything. If I "beat" her at something, like for example I played a sport she hated and was never good at, she would constantly put it down and try to minimise any achievement I made.
So, yeah she had a flat tummy, but she went about it the wrong way.

Haha same. But I have 4 ankle biters. I've commented on here before, I walk around 60kms a week and about 30 of them are weighted. But my body is used to that so my weight loss has plateaued. I will be upping the weight I carry and will also be starting running soon (within the next 3 weeks). Hopefully, that, combined with adjusting my diet helps. Haha currently I eat like crap. All carbs and fats and sugars. One of those needs to go waaay down. Probably sugars, and I'll lower my carb intake too (like wow, I eat heaps of them, even just cutting the pasta down to once a week would be an improvement)

I reduced carbs and was surprised how much easier it is to maintain my weight with very little exercise and still eating sweets. In general we consume way too many carbs. The food pyramid we were taught in school was wrong. There are more current food pyramids which have fruits and veg at the bottom

I second this. I maintain my weight by having fewer carbs on a daily basis and I can still have sweets a few times a week with no issue.

I have eggs or fruit for breakfast, fruit/salad/tuna for lunch and protein of some description and veg for dinner. It works wonders. Whenever I get lazy and start eating bread or pasta the weight creeps on! Stick to protein.

Try cutting back on carbs. You don't have to completely cut them out but reduce carbs to one or two meals a day and increase protein

Agree, this has really helped me lose those extra pounds. Ditching bread for good makes such a difference.

I think you need to exercise every day and fast, also cut carbs, alcohol and coffee to see results.

I average 18000 steps per day at work so that’s my exercise, also I’m not a big eater.

I do a fair bit of walking. I'm going to start doing parkrun again (5km each Saturday morning), although it's hard to get motivated in the cold winter mornings haha. Hoping to go back to sport soon too, new season starting July I think. I've had 2 kids, my diet could be better. I have a little bit of tummy podge, but would mostly like to improve my fitness and muscle tone.

I do one hour hiit sessions (f45) 2x every weekday, one ridiculously early in the morning before work, one at night before work and and one on a Saturday if I have time (so 11 sessions a week!) and then a yoga class on Sunday. I've been doing that for two years and still have lots of wobbly bits 😅

Weight loss is 80% food and 20% exercise so food is where you can make the biggest impact.
