Need to come up with $200

Answered 4 years ago

By Thursday. Tried selling some house hold stuff online and no one is buying. Pay day not till NEXT Thursday. Any other suggestions that aren't stupid or illegal?

If you need the money for a medical appointment they will bill you. Just go in like normal, when its time to pay ... ‘ omg my cards not here!’ Or swipe your card and when it declines ‘omg, my pay hasnt gone in! It always goes in by 10am!! - can you just bill me? My pay will go in tiday sometime, then i will pay... omg i am so embarressed!’

Then when you get the bill pay off $5/$10 a week till its paid.

Not eligible for advance ftb because I only claim lump sum each year ahh haha that's my own fault there 😂

Centrelink has an urgent payment which can be used for medical. Look it up. It's not an advance it's urgent payment. I used it before. Worth a try if you haven't been able to find a way yet.

You could hock some things or else get a credit card.
Can you borrow it?

Do you have to pay on day of appointment? Some places give you an invoice and 2 weeks to pay.

Apply for an advance payment from centrelink.
Or call the specialist and a lot of them do payment plans

Loan from friend or family, some school holiday babysitting, a couple of casual days in a line of work you do (eg. any waitress experience? Child minding cert for holiday programs?), can you drive some Uber jobs, cash converters / pawn shop for an unwanted appliance or a piece of jewellery, apply for credit card from bank with small limit...
Also, check how they bill - do they get the rebate from Medicare in the office by scanning your card? Will they let you pay just the gap and then the medicare rebate go to them? Will they allow you to pay in a couple of instalments? Probably worth a phone call to the receptionist.
Good luck!
