My youngest started school this year. I've just to sort a small health issue, figure out how to work around DS's therapy appointments after school, get everything else done as DH works long hours and find something that pays enough to be worth the stress. So, easy!

I've found any school hour jobs locally are mind-deadening minimum wage options, or I'm told at interviews the job will go full time in 6-12 months. So, once I find the unicorn job/home business opportunity I'll be working. It's so boring and pointless being at home all day!!!

I quit being a stay at home mum when my eldest hit 2nd grade and they could walk to school and organise themselves in the morning. I worked part time in the evening from my son being 2 months old, but back to full time when my eldest was 7

Yes. For a number of reasons. I don’t have to work because my husband earns a very good wage (and no we do not claim any Centrelink benefits). We live a comfortable life with just a small mortgage left on his wage.

Another reason, both my kids are special needs and have appointments during school hours I need to take them to.

I’m glad I can be present and available to them after school
