Super dry skin! Does anyone have any suggestions? My face is really dry and I’m starting to get premature fine lines because it’s so dehydrated.

Has anyone found a way to improve dehydrated skin? What’s worked for you?

Eating salmon, as its oily. Also taking cold water salmon oil capsules if you cannot eat enough salmon. Take the capsules at the start of a meal early in the day, so you are not getting salmony burps for hours.

Moisturisers need to be "hydrating", as well as "moisturising". Some good suggestions here. Moroccan Argan Oil is particularly good, but the real stuff is expensive, but so worth it. After putting it through my hair I rub the left over on my elbows, and it is the only thing that has made any difference to them.

I agree with the drinking water comments. Also, try switching the soap/face wash you are using to one that is soap free (I use Dove beauty bar with cucumber) then use a good moisturizing cream, I use Lancombe - it's pricey but holy hell its so worth it. I don't use any special face washes or scrubs but if I don't moisturize every morning and night my skin really dries up.

Glory oil by eco tan is awesome. So hydrating. My skin used to be so dry, in the morning if I smiled it felt like my face would crack. I put it on at night and in the morning my skin is so plump and hydrated. Love it.

Do you drink enough water during the day? I have oily but flaky skin which I'm pretty sure is because I drink nowhere near the amount of water I should.

Find a suitable skin care brand that works for you. I've the opposite problem - I've got PCOS & the oily skin is so bad I could literally wipe it off every 5 minutes & get massive pimples.

I use a brand called Paula's Choice (online only). They have specific ranges for different problems, including oily & dry & will help you find a routine if you need it. There are other brands as well. This one works for me. Find one that suits you. Good luck!

Sheet masks, Hyaluronic acid, facial oils, coconut oil, almond oil.

My skin has been a bit dry too, lately, so I leave a few of these sorts of items like creams and oils on my bathroom counter and put *something* on each time I go into the bathroom. If I put them away, I'll forget to use them. Put a cream or oil on your bedside table, desk, etc.., too and just keep using them. Chug water, as well.

Wash your face before bed and rub in some vaseline to your skin. In the morning you wash with water (no soap, unless you really caked the vaseline on) and dab dry with a towel. Best to use an old pillow case for this.

I'm not suggesting she eats it or applies this regularly, but for a quick comeback it's fine. If her face is this dehydrated she needs to bring it back to average before she can switch to a more regular method.
