No I spend all year buying little bits here and there and layby big items. Hide it all under the bed and boom, come Christmas day I don't even notice how much 8ve spent. But in saying that I buy for my kids, hubby, in laws, my parents and my step parents and that's it.

Silly question but how do you hide it under the bed without dust and possible crawlies getting all over it?

Not the OP, but I hide mine in suitcases, boxes, wrap it up in blankets. Hide it basically anywhere.
My parents used to fill the boot of the car & hide it in there.

OP of this comment, pretty well what the last person said. Blankets, boxes, suitcases. Either that or give things a quick wipe over before I wrap it as it's all in plastic now days anyway.

Cut it up & stop using it!!! You can’t afford to have it!!! Spend within your means. Start saving for Christmas 2020 NOW!!!
If you put $50 a week into a savings account for a year, you would get your $2,500. No stress, no interest payments, no worries

Heck, I'd feel blessed to be paying off last years xmas expenses from our credit card. Instead we are paying off our son's medical expenses that we put on the credit card.
Criticise all you want but we will do anything for our child. No child deserves pain.

No, I buy things throughout the year on sale. For example, I have 9 nieces/nephews (all under 10yrs) and I bought their gifts on sale from Target/Big W/Kmart. I have a huge stash of toys/books ready to go for Xmas, birthdays etc. I also buy for my parents and in-laws and again have purchased their gifts over the year and on sale. The only gifts I will buy at Christmas time are for my children and husband. If you are still paying for things one year on, you are putting yourself under unnecessary stress.

No, im almost finished paying for this xmas! I find having it all pretty much paid and done by early november is the key (for me) to enjoying xmas.

ANSWER

No way! If buying on credit card it gets paid off ASAP to not incur ANY interest. Maybe you need to scale Xmas presents back...?

This is just nuts. If you can't pay cash you clearly can't afford it.
