Wrong. I put everything on credit card and then pay my bill in full at the end of each month so I never pay interest. I earn loads of points by paying for things on credit card. My credit card also gives me insurance on purchases. Credit cards are awesome if you use them wisely. I only buy things I know I can afford to pay off at the end of each month. Maybe your sister in law is smart and does the same thing. You should ask her for some financial advice rather than be jealous of her because she buys nice towels.

More importantly, who cares what your SIL buys. As long as she is supporting her family, it is no one’s concern if she buys expensive bath sheets. I wish I could splurge on new towels right about now.

Different priorities are important to everyone. My SIL likes designer labels & would never dare step foot in a Kmart store or buy second hand anything. I prefer to buy mid range stuff & spend my $$ on travel. Neither is right. Just different.

It is nice to have a bit of luxury sometimes, especially if you have been in a postion of not having much money. It is nice to know that you can buy nice things that you can enjoy everytime you have a shower. It really is no one elses business how they spend their money unless they owe you money, then I get why you might be annoyed.
