What age do you think a child should know how to tell time on an analogue clock ?

Its in the national curriculum for grade 1 but most kids dont get 1/4 past 1/4 to until year 3 according to my kids year 2 teacher

At around 5 or 6 they should be able to identify some of the markers but 7 or 8 to read the time. All kids are different and don't all learn at the same ages so im going on what my kids know 😊
