Do you use pads or tampons? What do you do with them?

I don’t have bins either. I wrap up my product and walk it straight out to the wheelie bin.

What do you think she does with them? Stupid question. Obviously she’d take them out to a bin.

well some people could put them in the kitchen bin or some idiots may even flush them

If she can’t stand the thought of them in her toilet I don’t think she’d put them in the kitchen bin. That’d be even worse as all family members would use the bin regularly. I’m going with she’s not stupid and takes them out to the wheelie bin outside.

What is wrong with a bin next to the toilet??? I just had to flush a tampon at a friend's house.

^ nothing at all. It's only a couple of uptight people who have a problem with it

Omg, so you would put your tampon in a friends bin in the bathroom and leave it there for them to clear away?!?!?! 😵😵😵😱😱😱

Better than flushing it down the toilet so it blocks their plumbing!!

I would never leave a tampon in someone’s bin. I’d wrap it well and shove it in my pocket then sneak it into my bag to take home to my own bin. But then, I always change my pad/ tampon before I go out so I don’t have to worry about disposing of it while I’m out.

Id rather you’d block the toilet.

I tried wrapping it, the blood kept coming through so I wasn't putting it in my pocket. So I flushed it.

I worked as a house cleaner for a commercial company and we emptied bins. Then i used to do my own house cleaning and i emptied bins.
A few years later i trialled some cleaners when i moved towns and changed careers and they did fuck all! No emptying bins, no scrubbing showers, no cobwebbing, told if i want my microwave or oven cleaned it was extra!!
As cleaners we used to do everything! People today want money for nothing! $50 an hour to mop and vacuum a floor?? Ridiculous!

Omg yes!!!!
Keep looking, it took me ages to find a fantastic cleaner. Avoid the ones with long won't do lists.

I found a girl who works for cash, she isn't Australian and does an amazing job. She is fast and thorough, cleans under furniture, empties bins, cleans windows. She asked for $20 an hour. I have had so many cleaners that do very little and want a lot more. After her first week I insisted she take $30 an hour.

Kitchen bins and waste paper baskets? Absolutely. But bathroom bins? No. Touching other peoples bodily fluids is a health hazard, and I couldn't in good conscience have someone exposed to that. I know that my family are free from communicable diseases, but no one else can know that unless they're my doctor.

What about when you stay in a hotel or use a public toilet?

My cleaner empties all bins, if I had to worry about emptying bins before the cleaner arrived I wouldn't bother having one.

You sound like a client that leaves the house trashed and wonder why it doesn’t get cleaned spotless in 2 hours 🤣

Different responder here, but why can’t you let a cleaner clean your bins? Wouldn’t that be part of the job? I don’t mean sanitary bins I mean other bins. Isn’t it part of the cleaning process? I don’t understand all the comments from people saying they clean their toys and their dishes and bins before the cleaner arrives. Are those people paying for someone to just wipe a bench and mop a floor? Seems a waste of money.

I have been a cleaner for many years. Picking up toys and clearing the dishes leaves the house to get on with what I am there for.
If this is not done it means time spent putting away toys when I could be scrubbing something

It depends on what the cleaner is happy to do, and what the client wants done. My cleaner disinfects the kitchen and bathroom bin as part of the cleaning. Lots of cleaners don't empty bins, I interviewed a few before finding the one I have now and some have a list of stuff they won't do.

Filthy to think that people would not properly dispose of sanitary napkins themselves. We leave the house tidy and let the cleaner clean the surfaces.

It's easy to take the rubbish out the morning they come. They reline the bins and load a few basic cutlery and crockery items in the dishwasher from breakfast before putting it on.

So are you just paying for someone to wipe your surfaces?

I cleaned for my friend for a little while. She would leave her bloody pads in a toilet bin unwrapped and not even in a plastic bag, just straight in the bucket. So I had to tip them out...sooo fucking gross. I would never let anyone see my pads.

ANSWER

No but she would if I asked her to, just not on her list of jobs that we both agreed to in the time she has.

I am a cleaner. I usually turn up to cleared up toys, the dishwasher either going or just finished and empty bins.
It’s fucking gross to leave sanitary products in toilet bins, if you expect other bins to be emptied state it on a duties list, your cleaner is not a mind reader
