I have read several news articles about what is next and they all say that there are only 3 options left for us now.

Lock down totally and flatten the curve until a vaccine is approved - 18months.

Stay in lock down for 12 months, gradually come out from lockdown, go back in to lock down and repeat for 3 whole years, our economy can't support this.

Or

Herd immunity, infect 80% of young people and let it run it's course in us until it's safe for the older population, we'd all be out of lock down in 6 months and something like 25,000 of us would die. Some politicians have even used the term young people should "take one for the team".

We will all know the course of action they're going to decide on soon but I think I can guess which they'll choose.

They're already doing number 3. As soon as they open the borders it'll come back anyway. They can't wait for a vaccine.
They've already admitted it's about managing hospital admissions. Hopefully one of the treatments work so seriously ill people will have help.

Something I'm curious about- apparently you can catch the virus again even if you've had it, so how affective will a vaccine be?

I’d say once you have had it and recovered, or had the vaccine when it is available the. any subsequent illness will be less severe because you will have antibodies.

I wonder how they'll do that though. Everyone under 30 go out play party catch the virus? I mean I would want to opt out of that if I was under 30. I see lots of comparisons to the Spanish flu & that the 2nd wave of people that got it was alot worse than the 1st wave.

Exactly who said young people should take one for the team? I think you made that up to make your argument stronger. Who said it? When? Where?

I'd like to know too. I've never heard such rubbish

She's right, google the words coronavirus and take one for the team

They are not doing herd immunity. Don’t be stupid.

 It's not like chicken pox

They're hoping we get infected a little at a time so they can control the hospitals but they still want us to get infected & recover so they can send us back to work.

It won’t be business as usual in 2 weeks.
But ok, hypothetically speaking.... I’d do so with caution. Still main social distance as much as possible. Still obsessively washing and sanitising my hands .

 Good idea

It’s way too soon. Saying they will lift the restrictions will only bring out the idiots who have no interest in others safety.

F**k yeah! I’ll be out there!
