Would you get up at 7.30am and leave home at 830 and go to work 9.15 to 10.45 on Xmas eve and New Year’s Day ?

Mindfully deciding to prioritise spending time with your family on Christmas rather than working does not make a person lazy.

 YeS it does

 Care to explain how? ^^

Nah. There's laws against that shit. Only service stations would exploit their workers like that.

At my work, they can't legally give you anything less than a 3 hr shift - i'm sure anything less than that is illegal. Call your
Union. Or one of the useless government departments that are meant to help but only after they've stressed you out so much trying to get to a human that you want stab someone in the eye. Good luck.

I left my place of work because the lunch cover shift was cut from 3 hours to 1.5. A very well known ladies clothing store.

I wouldn't be too concerned retail is not making any money at the moment. Who ever it is will probably go under soon probably why they're cutting shifts.

I used to get up at 5am to arrive at our pub at 6am to do pokies and till counts then work through until 7pm sometimes later. I worked Christmas, New Years and plenty of other days.

Does no one want to get ahead in life

Yes on Xmas eve. Not on public holiday unless it was $50 hour

For like an hour and a half or is that am to pm? If it's the latter, absolutely. If it's the former, no way. Not on any day of the year.
