He put in a $100k and wanted his fans and public to put in $3 million? Dreaming! He breached his contract and got fired. His own damn fault. If he wants to sight unfair dismissal and fight it - then sell your assets and do it yourself! Absolute idiot!

 *The more you know rainbow*

(Disclaimer) This is in no way intended as a criticism of you! You sound like a lovely and intelligent person! Just thought you might like to know, but if not that's fine, ignore me! Your point above is valid and I'm not in any way trying to discredit it!

The word you are looking for is 'cite' not 'sight', as in citation.

Hope you have a lovely day, carry on.

Lol we are all so much more knowledgeable after you pointed out someone's typo 😂😂

I know most people are probably aware, but on the off chance someone doesn't know, I want them to find out in a pleasant and non-threatening way, with the best of intentions!
It wasn’t a typo cite and sight literally have 2 letters in common the rest are no where near each other and different lengths.

It was a common error .

 You're so fu****g annoying

Just another tool who can't handle the consequences of his actions. He breached Rugby Australia's code of conduct (the same code that every player must abide by) and was given multiply warnings about his online behave and now he wants to play the victim. He knew the consequences but thought that he was above them. I wish the media would stop giving him air time and free coverage, so that we don't have to hear from him or his supporters again...because most people wouldn't have known about his go fund me campaign if the media didn't advertise it. I think that it's important to remember that freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences!

 This is sooo true!

I reckon Israel himself needs to come out of the closet 🧔🧔

I'd say he's maybe a 6/10. I mean, I'd do him, but I wouldn't tell anyone.
He's certainly not my favourite looking footy player.

 😂😂😂

He is a hypocrite!!! I am an atheist and have many friends who are very religious. Not once do we force our beliefs on each other as we respect each other too much for that. I personally don't care what he preaches in his own church. But (so I'm told) the bible also says that one shall not tattoo or mark ones body!!!! He sure does have a lot of tattoos!!!! He is also a very greedy man. He has the money to fight this in court. So he should use his own money, but he is too greedy to do that. I feel for those sick children who are fighting for their lives and fighting to get funding to help save their lives. He does not give one bit of consideration to those people as all he is thinking of his himself. He is a well known sportsman and kids look up to him. He should just shut his mouth up and not said anything and all would have been ok. I have no respect for him as a person what so ever. He doesn't know me and already has labeled me a heathen because I am an atheist. At least I respect people's choice, and religious choices and don't tell them that they are wrong, just because I don't believe in the bible. He drives around in expensive cars, owns millions of dollars in property, but yet is asking for money. So sick of hearing about him.

I agree with you. He should have just kept his mouth shut

Some Muslims stand up and say anything they want to say and we are spineless to say anything. This guy gets up and quotes from the bible and gets crucified. BUT if you want to make public statements and you are high profile, you have to own the consequences of the statements.

He breeched his contract. That’s the real issue here.
Exactly he broke his contract that's where you're all getting confused.
Please show me a case of a Muslim , representing brand with a signed contract of media conduct speaking against minority’s.

I don’t actually think he should have been fired, but I’m also not paying the PR bills.
And I’m not paying someone 4 million with an expectation of social media conduct.

But the go fund me is horrid and shamelesss and shows a poor side of his character.

What does being a Muslim have to do with this?

One of the terms of his contract was not to speak out publically against the LGBTQI community and he did exactly that. So he absolutely should have been fired, otherwise what’s the point of a contract? Any Muslim player who did such a thing would have been fired too.

Anthony Mundine is a Muslim with a contract who constantly is racist and against white people.
^but does his contract say he’s not allowed to speak out against white people?
Mundine has spoken very similarly to Folau and has also said some very outdated things about women. No one cries foul at him. In fact Mundine has publicly stated his support for Folau, even going as far as blaming racism for RA’s action against Folau.
 Agree 100%
helpful (2)
Again, is it in his contract that he can’t say those things? As far as Folau goes, that is the issue for me. I dont care about his opinions, but breaching his contract and then, despite having personal wealth crowd funding for his legal fees way beyond what they would have cost is my issue. What kind of person does that? Also, I think you will find lots of people have plenty to say about Mundine and his views.
The real question here was if that clause was in his contract, or if he is telling the truth and signed the contracted without that clause in it.

I would also go as far to say that most major sponsors and sporting organisations share similar contracts with similar clauses. If this is the case Mundine would have broken several contracts unless he also said he did not want those clauses included.

As for the legal fees, with the appeal process and the type and number of lawyers he will require, the amount of time he will require them, as well as court fees, $3m wouldn’t be that much of an overreach.

Mundine played NRL who are notoriously weak on conduct code. Union not so much.
He now boxes and the more controversy and hate for him the more boxing entities get paid. Negative PR affects them and their code VERY differently.
Apples and oranges.
I should have specified. Name an example in union.

It’s got NOTHINg to do with christians and muslims, we are a Christian country for god sake who celebrate all nation holidays by a Christian calendar .

Now I don’t actually think he should have been fired, just docked pay. BUT we don’t know what was going on behind the scenes. Maybe everyone was sick of him and it was an easy out.
Maybe they were sick of the PR headaches.

But the go fund me it just sad.

And Mundine is just as publicly loathed lol.
Not only mention Mundine still had issues with selection in the NRL

Which the moral of the story is regardless of religion ....
if you’re an asshole your talent will only get you so far.

RA didn’t pull his contract because of their ethics or morals, they did it because Qantas threatened to pull their sponsorship. I find it hypocritical that Qantas want to cry about this but continue to fly to countries that still impose the death penalty for homosexuality. I suppose when it comes to making money their morals fly out the window, unlike Folau’s.
If mundine was stung by a bee he'd find some way to it blame it on racism. He's a massive f**khead too

I think Christians have been a subdued force in Australia. They don’t yell, scream, become abusive or rock the boat. Israel posted a QUOTE from the Bible. Probably his reading for the day. Christians believe the Bible is God breathed. They have every right to those beliefs - just as others choose not to. I have to read what some idiot has put in the school curriculum about gender dysmorphia for year 5 students - and it is their OWN opinion and it is going to affect my kids. Folau posted something from an accepted text written 2000 years ago and he lost his livelihood and has been attacked for his beliefs. Christians are now raising their voices through donations to fight this injustice. They will turn him into a martyr - an icon for Christian freedom. The constant negative media and personal attacks on him are turning more and more people to his aid. All voting with their pockets, their Government votes, and the choices they are making with news broadcasters.

If you want to be standing on the majority at the end of this, I suggest you get over your rants and stand up for the person who is victimised - like you would for any other person who didn’t happen to hold a Christian belief. Imagine someone quoted the Bill of Rights - all men are created equal - and then the Disability service caused you to be sacked for your biased hate speech and ignorant comments. Don’t kill the messenger.

Christians are some of the most judgemental and Abusive people I’ve met. I grew up in a Christian home where men were violent and controlling and treated everyone like shit. Stop believing people who are religious are not perfect
helpful (5)
The last quote that he posted before his sacking was not a direct quote from the bible, it was a list of those that were going to hell! He could have chosen any number of positive messages from the bible to share but instead he chose to share a message that condoned and judged majority of the population. Like most religious people he is a hypocrite who seems to just pick and choose what parts of the bible he will live by...obviously he does not have an issue with tattoos, greed and judgement of his fellow man!
Your accepted text is not accepted by me

“ Christians are some of the most judgemental and Abusive people I’ve met. I grew up in a Christian home where men were violent and controlling and treated everyone like shit.”

You didn’t grow up in a Christian home. You grew up in an abusive home with sadistic men. Don’t blame God or Christianity for your families failings 🙄

I believe freedom of religion is an important part of the diversity of Australia. I do not believe that a person should use their religion as a weapon against people who are not a part of, or accepted in that religion.

"God loves all"
Excepts the gays, we don't like those
Or trans people
Or Jews
Or Muslims

Pedo's are good though, we like those.

Fucken religion *rolls eyes*

He’s a loser and an embarrassment to Australian sports

Anyone who has donated to his cause is as big of an asshole as he is. I hope he goes to hell before anyone in the LGBT community

Another heart full of love for mankind 😂😂😂 😳 wait - you’re not under contract are you? No? Go ahead with your hate speech then 🤣🤣🤣
helpful (1)
 ^not even remotely funny 🙄
helpful (0)

I don't agree with what he said but don't really care either. There's far worse written on social media every day. There's much bigger issues to get offended by. As far fundraising, he's not forcing anyone to give him money and the people donating are bigots who probably would never have donated any money to the other more worthy causes anyway. If anything it has done those causes good anyway because donations to them increased when people started donating out of protest to Folau's campaign.

I don’t follow sports but I support Israel Falou. He is spreading a message to save those condemned souls so they can spend eternity in the arms of god. Praise Israel for spreading the heavenly message and standing up for our Christian rights to spread the word of god and help those who need saving ✝️

My soul doesn't need solving. Thankyou anyway

 Eat a dick
helpful (0)
Leave my soul alone it doesn't need to be contaminated by likes of you. It's full of love & lust for life. I like knowing that i will die having experienced all parts of life & not helded back on anything. Can you say the same?
^ not dying - going to heaven. Willing to be abused online and listen to everything against me you want to say because I hope one day you will question your beliefs and join us there. 💖
helpful (1)
I dont usually coment on here because every one seems so angry and agressive but I think you are all just finding out thru the donations to him how many quiet christians there really are in Australia.
 You mean judgemental Australians
helpful (2)
I think that the people that are donating are middle age/ older white men who have their panties in a twist thinking that that is a freedom of speech issue!
 Quiet Christians? HA

Where were ya'll at election time

They have alot of extra money with all those government funded investment properties
helpful (1)
Eating dicks is for people like Israel 🖕
helpful (2)

Israel foul is certainly entitled to freedom of speech, as we all are. Could you imagine however if we all spoke aloud, about what offends us or what we see is wrong. We'd be living in a war torn country full of hate and retaliation instead of one of the luckiest and most beautiful places in the world 💙

That’s why we don’t have freedom of speech in australia.
But what he is saying does fall under Australia’s version of “free speech” as he didn’t go to jail or was punished in any way by the government.

And you’re right calling out bullshit is what makes australia one of the lucky places

I am an Austrlian born muslim, i am 33 years old female.
I couldnt care less what people say or believe but he broke the rules.
Also. I find it amusing that anything to do with this, people bring up muslims. Wish we were living in an educated world

I'm have a look at the nations Muslims are emigrating (fleeing) from.

Yeah, real educated. Savages.

People bring up muslims because some of the people who are against Folau would be trying to protect their religious freedom, just like a lot of those who are trying to protect his religious freedom would be crying about how muslims don’t belong in our society. It would be a total change on both sides.
The first response. Umm your message sounds like you are intelligent 😂😂
helpful (0)
Savages!! 😂😂😂 hope you havent reproduced
helpful (0)
 Beheading homosexuals isn't savage?

Stoning women to dearth for premarital sex after being raped isn't savage?

Piss off and open your eyes to the world.

Savagery isn’t exclusive to Islam. Not even exclusive to those who follow a particular faith be that Islam or Christianity or anything else. It’s humans. And some use religion to justify it.

I don’t see how what he said is homophobic. There is no such thing as hell and the bible is all bullshit anyway. If you believe in it then you must already know the punishment for homosexuality according to the bible, if you don’t then it can’t be offensive. Either way Israel is just regurgitating the bullshit he has been brainwashed into believing. As a drunk adulterous fornicator I found no offence in the dribble he posted.

 Drunk adulterous fornicator 😂
helpful (2)
He had no need to open his trap. What was he gaining from it?
You make an excellent point. Homosexuals were way down the list. Where are all the other insulted people? Maybe once being a thief is promoted in society as a good thing, they will all stand up and complain too 😆
helpful (1)
Unlike being homosexual, being a thief is a choice and a crime.
I'm a fornicator I fornicated alot before I got married- not sorry!
While homosexuality isn’t a crime, acting on those urges are a choice too. It’s the same as premarital sex or having an affair, you are acting out your urges. I don’t think that suppressing normal sexual desire is right or healthy but for highly religious people they believe it is required to show some sort of devotion to God. Again, it’s all bullshit but who am I to judge others choices in faith as long as they don’t hurt anyone else. Israel is just trying to do his “Christian duty” by spreading the word of the bible and if people didn’t like it they could have just scrolled passed. It isn’t like he locked them in a elevator and started screaming his ideology at them.
^ Folau also had a choice. He chose to breech the terms of his contract. Willingly and knowingly. Now he has the consequences of it.
But did he really breach his contract by being discriminatory? He simply said that if you are “this” my fairytale tells me you will go to a fictional place because this imaginary all mighty being doesn’t agree with you sucking another man’s dick or getting wasted on a Saturday night and fu****g some random in the bathroom at the club. It would only be discrimination if in fact hell did exist and that should be taken up with God, not some footballer repeating the “rules”.
^ apparently he did. Hence why he got kicked out.
He did by according to his employer and sponsors, but will a court see it the same? If they do, does that mean that speaking about any “indecent” behaviour which will take you to “hell” will now be classed as hate speech? Will churches, mosques and other religious places of worship then be unable to preach about what will send you to hell? Will the bible, quran and other religious texts have to be rewritten as to not offend anyone? Does ruling this as hate speech and discrimination now mean that the general consensus the Australian government and Australian courts is that there is a heaven, hell, god and devil? As a secular society will this drag us back into being a Christian society?
