I take my phone out with me but when I am at home I rarely know where it is. Not because of the kids or anything but I'm bloody hopeless haha

Maybe some people don’t want to be contactable every waking moment. Plenty of reasons not to have it near you

They replied at 10 pm because by then it was bed time and too late to do whatever errand you wanted them to do for you. Do you call them all day wanting them to watch your kids? Do you call them all day wanting them to clean your house? Do you call them all day expecting a lift to your loser friends house? I’d avoid answering your calls too.

I have no idea where my phone is right now. Probably in my bag hanging in my wardrobe or it could be in my car. I don’t need it on me. I don’t have the time to answer mundane questions all day like “hey, what ya up to. I’m about to bath the dog”. I don’t have time to chat just because my sister or friend is bored. I’ve got stuff to do.

How can people be on their phones all day? Mine is constantly on the bench, left on the bed, in my handbag, or just simply lost because I don't feel the need to have it on me all the time. I sit down and flick around on it at that time between putting the kids to bed and me going to bed, but other than that I rarely pick it up. And no I'm not old either, I'm only 26 😂

Can you hear it if someone sends you a text or rings you ?

Not really. It's a family joke that if anyone wants me in an emergency the need to ring my partner. He keeps his in his pocket so he answers 9 times out of 10. Me, on the other hand, I very rarely answer mine. Even today I took the kids to the park and we were gone for an hr and a half and my phone was left at home on the table. Partner knew where we were and it's literally a 2 minute walk to get home so I didn't see the point in taking it

I keep mine on silent all the time. But I check it often enough that I can return an important call within an hour or so
