I am wanting to start my own blog, would anyone have advice on how to get the colored backgrounds etc you see, how do you do a post rather then a story

The blog will be a mixed blog on hw things have changed, budgeting recipes etc

Thanks for the words of encouragement I am not the most tech savvy person lol so for me I feel out of my depth where to begin, part of my blog will talk about people attitudes and how there is a sense of entitlement and how it effects others, I want to talk and blog about the hard subjects the things people may think but to scared to talk about
