New jug. Plastic taste

Random question. Just brought a jug and it makes coffee taste like burnt plastic. I have boiled it about 12 times and washed it out with dishwashing liquid and it is still there. Any ideas on how to get rid of the plastic taste before i just bite the bullet and buy a new jug.

Don’t use it. It could be leaching chemicals into your drink - yuck!

Holly hell just googled what bpa is. How the hell can it be legal to sell products containing it.

I'd just go buy a metal or glass one.
