She didn’t come from a low socio economic family at all. Her father paid for her schooling and college tuition. Relatives saw that she had internships which helped her get a leg up. She, in no way, cut her own path and success, she had help all the way. There are plenty of videos of her out there showing how else she gets her way. I haven’t seen any signs of blatant racism against her, I have seen many signs of hatred against her not based on colour. She has alienated herself from her family and now has done the same to Harry. He is now going to find it difficult to escape her clutches. Respect is earnt, especially in the position she is/was in. She did nothing to earn it, she couldn’t or wouldn’t play by the rules. They don’t want to be away from the spotlight, they want the spotlight on them in a way they manage. Basically, they want their cake and to eat it too. I feel for Harry, he is too dim to realise how manipulative she is.

I completely disagree. If her family was from a different socioeconomic standing they wouldn’t have thought twice about the fact that they helped pay for her schooling. It would have been a thing of pride not hardship for them. Internships - really? That just further justifies what I said. Her father’s side sold her out. Who needs friends or family that shoot you down when you need them? Her sister arranging for her father to be recorded getting ready for the wedding in front of a media outlet just speaks complete ignorance and a completely different socioeconomic standing. The whole family from her father’s side did not do the right thing by her according to their interviews; obviously not recorded with her best interests in mind. A lot of people in this day and age will cut someone down to increase their own height - and your family should be the people you never have to expect that from. I personally respect the girl and hope she figures out a balance.

Yeah if you read about it the only thing they plan to give up is the Sovereign grant which comes directly from the public, it's 5% of their income. The rest of their income comes from Charles. He gets money from the public which he splits between his own household & William & Harry. So really they still plan to live on public money just not directly. They still plan to live in one of the Queens castles when they're in England- which they just renovated at the publics expense & live in Canada also. It's not clear who's paying for the security that will be required in both of those properties. Personally I don't think they've thought this through & they should have consulted the family because it effects all of them. Seems like a massive tantrum to me. Grab the popcorn & watch the show folks it'll be interesting to see the end result.

They already have about 10 million pounds of their own money - he inherited from his mum and great grandmother and she has over 2 million from her acting career (apparently by the end she was getting almost 50 000 per episode of suits?!?)
That ought to last a while!
