What is your sleep set up?

Answered 4 years ago

I sleep in a king bed with hubby very much to our own side of the bed.
For about 2.5 years our eldest slept with us in a double bed with an extended side cot mattress, then for another 2.5 years I slept with both the kids “their bedroom” in a double with them.

Curious to hear what others do, I know some friends who haven’t slept in the same room as hubby for years for different reasons
I know of one friend how uses two double beds and they each have their own bed.

Queen bed and he is SUCH a cuddler - took me a long time to get used to! Most people tell me they can't stand people touching them when they sleep, and I was totally one of them, but I've learned to live with it after 15 years and it's quite nice in the cold weather at least.

We've never let kids sleep in our bed, when they were babies they had a bassinet in our room but from about 10-12 months we transitioned them to a cot in a seperate room with a monitor.

Hubby and I also sleep head to toe. Oddly I have more room. I love it. It's not uncomfortable at all and I sleep better. It works for us both

Queen with partner that’s our time together, kids would get in when they were little, once they started getting bigger we would let them stay for a bit then put them back in their own bed .

I even turn the electric blanket on for him so he doesn't get cold. We went out of town over night recently and I set up the heater to turn on and off for him so he wouldn't get cold 😂. He is my fluffy baby

We used to sleep in a double all cosy and in love. Now our queen is too small. Hate drunk, cigarette breath being breathed on me all night and his rank farts that he actually separates his arse cheeks to let rip.
So repulsive

Hubby and I share a king bed. 1-4 of our kids come in each night. Some nights I bunk in with 2 of the kids in a double bed, other nights I end up in the king with all 4 and hubby takes the double bed. If 1-2 kids come in with hubby and I, it's all good. But once the third or forth comes in, I usually end up going out lol

Both my kids have had their own bed in their own room since birth with no baby monitor. Best thing I did was have a consistent night time routine and let my kids learn how to put themselves to sleep. Never had a drama with either of them when it came to bedtime.

Me neither. I never minded laying down with them to sleep. Just a different no drama :)
Now they are 4 and 7 and happily sleep over with their 4 grandparents. Go to sleep without me and sleep alone 98% of the time.
Truth be told those rare occasions they show up at 3 am I love it.
Even though with hubby I’m a back toward him, edge of the bed sleeper and always have been lol
