Just do what I did and have kids to a bloke who doesn't care and doesn't want them because they are girls. I have mine 24/7 while he has the new baby from the new-ex-girlfriend because it was a boy. When he was showing a bit of interest but, we had it in our orders that they be dropped off at 9am the morning of mother's/father's day if they were with the opposite parent.

I will have the kids but I've never actually bothered with Mothers day. It's too commercial imo
