He didn't kill anyone. He just didn't help. He isn't to blame for their deaths. He was speeding and got pulled over.

Yes he shouldnt have said what he did but the truck driver hit the police.

If he was behaving lawfully, they wouldn’t have had to pull him over. I feel sorry for the truck driver.

He should have helped. Offered some comfort to those who were dying. He is the epitome of evil.

I don't get why people don't understand basic moral behaviour & need it explained to them 🤷‍♀️

Replying to top answer:

He is TOTALLY to blame. You’re kidding that you don’t get that, right?

He did more than not help. He stood over another human being as she lay dying, didn't help, instead filmed her and said disgusting things about how they f*cked up his car. Refused to help or comfort her.

The he ran away. Gave the wrong phone to police to avoid being caught with the recording.

I personally think police shouldn't pull people over on a freeway. They should identity & direct people to a safe pull over point. It's too dangerous.

Moral argument aside, he cannot be legally held liable for their deaths. The truck driver is.

^ he can to a point. He did not render assistance . He instead took photos before he fled. He definitely holds some legal responsibility

^ It's not illegal to not render assistance in Australia. It's scummy (in certain circumstances, like this), but the possibility of filming/photographing dying people and posting footage online is being explored for its legal implications.

He was speeding, yes, so was pulled over as a result. Clearly it wasn't safe there, and it's always a risk to be out of your car on the side of the road in any circumstance. His options were to have not followed the police directive and extend the chase (maybe to a safer place or maybe to continue being a d*ck), or pull over on which everyone involved was at risk.

Either way, it was a chain reaction event. I wish he could be charged with their deaths, but Australian law doesn't work that way. The druggie truck driver however, will be charged with their deaths, along with a number of other charges.

He's a disgusting piece of shit but he didn't actually kill those poor officers. I hope they go go through the laws with a fine tooth comb though and pin him for every single thing they can

He helped their deaths along though. Fleeing the scene of an accident and not rendering assistance. Even taking the time to take some photos before running like the coward he is.

He left her dying. He could have helped but he filmed her instead. He allowed her to die.

This is where they're going to use every law they possibly can, to get him. Unfortunately not murder but yes there are laws against some of what he's done. I hope he rots in he'll regardless of what he's charged with

He is an absolute utter, vile POS. Words truly cannot describe just how repugnant that creature is.

He does not deserve to see the light of day again. Someone so devoid of morals should never be allowed freedom.

Make it for the rest of his life.

Yeah I agree. I can’t help but feel with the money he has got used to getting away from things, I hope he learns his lesson I really do.. it would suck if he manages to get off lightly.

He is an absolute disgrace. How anyone could film someone dying and then abusing them is something I will never be able to fathom. Cop or not they were human beings, doing their job and don’t deserve that sort of treatment. It’s a tragic story all round.
