Do you think some people need a life ?

I’m a nurse who had to work last night too! It’s so upsetting when you realise that you’ve been rostered on night shift at the end of daylight savings 😩. Even more heartbreaking at 3am when the clock goes back to 2 😭. Makes a 12.5 hour shift 13.5 hrs with no extra pay.

The end of daylight savings?
In Aus we are at the beginning!
And no it’s not illegal - if staff work when the clock is moved forward an hour they aren’t paid for an hour less, they are paid for their rostered 10 or 12hr night shift as if it was any other Sat night

When I was nursing, the person doing the roster would make sure those who worked the extra hour also worked the shift when daylight saving ended and one less hour was worked.

Why don't you get extra pay? I'm sure that's gotta be illegal
