I luckily restocked my tp just as all this madness was starting (3 X toilets in our house so buy a 12pk for upstairs and 1 for downstairs - once they are under half I buy a full pack again - when we first moved in we ran out of tp (in all 3 toilets) twice and I vowed to never let that happen again)

But my biggest problem at the moment is we are out of onions and potatoes! In our house of 5 each meal will generally have potatoes, pasta or rice as a filler and I use onions in pretty much every meal so last night's dinner was a bit plain ☹️ will be until I can find some more..

Fresh produce will be the painful thing for me and don't have a deep freezer so maybe have a week's worth of meat then will be... Very creative meals? And couldn't even attempt to stockpile any extra as I had rego due yesterday 😣

Hopefully pads are back on the shelf soon as my daughter is I think very close to her first period and wouldn't that be a traumatizing way to start for a very young girl 😣😣 I have a few on standby but no idea what hers will be like obviously

Google the toilet habits of Asians and you might just have to do what 3 billion people do. Wash your bum in the shower or bath and clean your bum with soap and not use paper.

Yeah not keen to live 3rd world standards thanks. Living in filth is what has caused this mess.

Washing your bum is much cleaner than wiping it. Washing instead of wiping is NOT what caused the virus.

^^ if you have ever been to Asia you will know most of the toilets are flushable. The squat loos (which are flushing) are actually more hygienic than western toilets cos you don’t touch them.

Yes, I live in Northern NSW nowhere near any of the cases [until yesterday with SC UNI) and both my local Woolworths and Coles had no toilet paper. As we were leaving Woolies put some out on the shelves but it was only the 24 pack for $12. I'm on Newstart as I can't work due to extreme anxiety [in and out of emergency at least 10 times last year] I don't drink, smoke or do drugs, I pay board of only $100 per week but still struggle to feed myself. My grocery budget doesn't allow that much of an extra cost so I had to borrow some from my mum and stepdad until they stock the shelves properly again and people stop hoarding. They need to think about people who can't afford to bulk buy. SMH

I work in retail and it is really crazy. We have hundreds of people waiting outside the doors every morning.
People run straight to the toilet paper. It’s gone in minutes. Worse then Christmas time.
Hopefully it stops soon and stock levels can resume to normal.
Please be kind to staff they are doing their best. And can’t control the stock levels. We have no control what so ever.

Well, you could stagger your stock placement. Put some out in the morning, some mid morning, some afternoon, some late. Then everyone working different schedules get a chance to get some. Could you put that to your manager. But absolutely staff should not be abused.

Yes, i am a single parent with three girls, one teenager, cant get pads anywhere, she had to take two days off work because she was bleeding so heavily and we couldnt find sanitary items ANYWHERE, and i live in the city! I have some tp now, but just enough for about 1.5 weeks. My biggest problem is my 4 year old has sensory issues and virtually lives on pasta and milk, also has to be a certain pasta 🙄, cant get it anywhere, i have about a week before things start getting bad for us. In the meantime i have spent every $ i have to buy a few supplies, not because of the virus, but because all these rich and middle class people are sooooooo fn greedy there is nothing left for us.

Just because she has 300 rolls doesn't mean she's been clearing the shelves. I have over 300 rolls and its because I've been buying my tp in bulk for years from WGAC. I have not bought a roll from a supermarket for more than 2 years. If I have family or friends who need it, I will be more than happy to give them What they need

The company is called Who gives a Crap. Their products are made from 100% recycled paper, Their packaging is recyclable and 50% of their profits go toward improving sanitation in countries less fortunate. You order online and it gets delivered to your door :)

Personally I think the people buying trolley fulls, not to have just in case, (which is silly), but to sell toilet paper and other necessities on line, on gumtree, at enormously inflated prices, should be charged.
That law is in place for ticket scalpers; it should be extended to critical item extortionists.
And the charges should be retrospective, so these people doing it now should be taught a lesson.
They would be easy to catch, as are the ticket scalpers.
Facebook and gumtree could remove their ads easily enough, but they wont do that unless it is made illegal.
That was almost surely being done by the people shown in the Western Sydney Woolworths video, as they would not even relinquish one packet to the other lady, who had every reason to be angry.

Nope, we brought a 45 roll pack from big w a fortnight ago. Then got our normal 2 packs from woolies in our groceries a couple of days later. It’ll last us ages.
The shelves have only just started going bare in the last 2/3 days in my town.

Funnily enough I must have bought the day or the day before the great toilet paper shortage.
I browsed best prices.

But I run a home buisness Have 4 kids and 2 adults so a 24 pack will be gone within a week or so.
But I guess the whole family will have to use the bidet they relentlessly teased me about for 4 years after I installed it.
Kinda make me wanna give away or paper as a fuck you to my family who walk around with dirty paper wiped butts lol

Tried to get TP and nappies delivered but Coles was out of stock. It took my hubby 5 different stores before he found a packet of TP and 8 stores to find nappies for our toddler in that size. The nappies and TP are both much dearer than our normal brands but were the only packet left of each.

Mum of 3 girls here. I started talking to my children about other options we may have to use...face washers, rags, showers etc because I was getting s bit worried being short on TP. Found some at Aldi today so bought 2 packs - 1 for my family and 1 pack for my friend who also has 3 girls. She had been looking and when she saw 2 last packs at woolies a lady pushed past her and grabbed both. Unbelievable!
