When someone passes

Answered 4 years ago

I want a good way to remember them for myself. I thought about getting a small tattoo but that's too public - I'd have to answer questions about what it means everytime some saw it. I want something secret just for me. Any ideas?

I bloody hate it when people ask what my tattoos mean! Are you grieving someone that you don’t want anyone to know about?

After my parents passed, i got a tattoo on my wrist. People might wonder what it's about but they don't ask

Maybe their name in a different language or a symbol that reminds you of them

Can't say I've ever had someone ask what my tattoos mean. They would get told "they mean I like them so I got them" 😂. I have a butterfly, a crown, a rose and my kids names and I'm currently waiting for the tattoo shop to open back up so I can get one for my cousin

In WA there is a memorial park where people are able to pick a tree and place a plaque under it in memory of a loved one. We did this for my FIL. Its a wonderful idea 💕

It's through Bowra & O'dea memorial groves and the location is Beckenham Memorial Park. I think if you type in trilliontrees.org you will find more information. It's a wonderful idea. We got a plaque made up from bowra and odea, took it to the location, picked a tree and drove the plaque into the ground. We go several times a year to put flowers down and tidy up around our tree. It's worth looking into x

It's at the Beckenham Memorial Park. We were given the information by Bowra and O'dea and we had them make up a plaque for us to put under our chosen tree. If you go to trilliontrees.org.au and click on memorial groves, you should be able to get more info xx

I got a charm on my bracelet, the letter N. I think people assumed it was for NaN, it was for someone else I was grieving. It was easy to go along with Nan. But I knew who it was for.

A locket with their photo in it, hidden under a photo of a sunset or whatever scene makes you think of them. People might ask to see inside the locket but won’t see your hidden photo.

Is there something that reminds you of that person that you could get a tattoo of that’s inconspicuous enough no one will ask questions but that is special enough you think of them everytime you see it? Like a bird, butterfly, feather, tree/flower, animal?
