Vaccines were already mandatory but as a policy. People just like to complain. Get the damn Vax.

ANSWER

I don't see the issue. If you are that against it, find work elsewhere. If it is important to you to work in your field, then get the vax. But if you contract Covid, are you also going to refuse medical assistance? There are plenty of industries/workplaces that have mandatory vaccinations for other things, like Hep B.

No person or group of people have any legal or valid right whatsoever, to mandate any form of medicine or medical procedure, for any Australian, ever.

Plenty of people already work in industries where certain vaccinations are mandatory. If you don't want to get the covid one that is fine but know you will have to find another way to make money if your industry is affected.

Can you post the global survival statistics please that you’re relying upon that state specifically 99.79;

different person here but;
Worlds population = 7 Billion (7,000,000,000)
Worldwide cover deaths =4.55 Million (4,550,000)
therefore
4,550,000/7,000,000,000 = 0.00065
0.00065x100= 0.065% of the worlds population died from covid
100-0.065= 99.935% chance of survival

Survival rates are worked out from the number of people who have contracted the virus, not from the population of the world.

REPLY

Well in that case 2%
So a 98% survival rate

I agree with this person sooooo much!!!

"Vax should never, ever be compulsory mandated. Especially for a flu that has a 99.79 survival rate.

When the government starts telling Australians that they must be injected with a trial vax in order to provide a living for their family, then this country is no longer a democracy and we are about to encounter some massive problems as a society."

It's not just about the survival rate. It's about flooding the healthcare system. If the hospitals are full of covid patients, there is no room for people suffering other ailments. Deaths won't necessarily be from covid, but people with other issues who can't get treatment.

Then the government should put the money towards the hospitals and health care system like they should have long before covid.
Also they should focus on early treatment instead of just preaching the vaccine.

What if it was about something else medical to someones else body? Say forcing or refusing abortion? Simple. replace 'vaccine' with 'abortion', pretty easy to see the government mandatory is NOT fair....

That’s a false comparison because being unvaccinated risks the wider community. Someone’s abortion is not a risk to anyone outside of the surgical procedure.

Anybody can catch anything regardless, cold flu, virus, covid. If you are fully triple vaxxxed you can still catch covid. Look after yourself, not getting false safety for making someone else look after you.

I’ve had the jab but believe everyone should have a choice. I don’t think it’s fair to make it mandatory for some.

ANSWER

I don’t think there’s an easy answer here. Everyone has the right to bodily autonomy, but that doesn’t then give them the right to do all sorts of jobs. For example, if an unvaccinated person works in the cancer ward, should they be allowed to continue?
But on the other hand, what if someone is truly medically unable to be vaccinated, is there job at risk?
And what constitutes a risk to the public? Aeroplane staff? Bar staff?
For me it’s a really problematic issue to enforce.
