What is it with people's need to use acronyms?

I see (on various sites) people spelling out entire words, entire sentences, yet, randomly drop in a 'BC,' 'rn,' 'w/' or 'abt'.

I don’t mind when it’s just one word in a sentence but when the whole damn sentence is acronyms I just think you’re a lazy fuck and I won’t bother trying to work out what you’re trying to say.

Rn, What's annoying me is when people go to the trouble of ranting about spelling or grammar habits of strangers but don't know the difference between words like faze and phase.
