Help , present for my sister

Answered 4 years ago

She had two teenage boys.
She generally buys what she wants for herself.

She is the best present giver ever and always has been.
I am the WORST. So much so I’m referring to an anon forum to find a good gift for my sister who I’ve know for 35 years.
She always gets me things I didn’t even know I wanted. And she manages to somehow outdo That with my kids.
Iv always been broke or somewhere overseas. But this year I wanna do goood by her.

So please any suggestions of gifts that might seem random but are awesome?

So I buy some family a Xmas calendar made up of pics of family and my kids. They adore it.
It may not be for everyone but it’s something that my family appreciate and they’re hard to buy for.

I’ve been doing the personalised calendar for my mum for many years. She loves it. And I know that because one year I didn’t make one and she was very disappointed, wanting to know where he calendar was . She says if that is all she gets for Xmas she’s happy. So not everyone finds this kind of thing lame.

What about a plant subscription box for something different. Botanic box delivers a different plant every month and they collaborate with different artists each month so the plants are always potted in a unique pot.

What about an experience of some kind rather than a physical gift. Voucher for Something really adventurous, diving with sharks etc. theatre tickets (buy 2 so she can take a friend), Dance lessons etc what ever you think she’s into. A friend of mine was recently gifted a voucher to have a sleep over at the zoo, she loved it, said it was a great night and a great memorable experience.
Or maybe something for her house, a piece of art, a garden sculpture etc.

You could even combine her gift with a gift for your nephews and give the whole family an experience they will remember. I’ve always wanted to try a panic room or similar.

I’m notoriously difficult to buy for, as are several of my family members. So when birthdays and Xmas are coming up, we all write out a wish list of things we would like and give to each other. So you still get the surprise, because you don’t know what you might get on your list, and you know you’re giving something your family member will like.

Also, I find gift vouchers are always welcome. I got a Caltex gift card for my birthday. Practical, and appreciated too!
