Yeah for 4 or 5kgs I would not be taking it!! At all. You will pile it back on when you stop. Trust me. Just eat right, portion control and exercise. You'll lose the weight because it will stop your appetite. You won't eat, you won't sleep, you'll feel insane. Not with it at all for a few kgs.

No it's not actually speed but feels the same. People in the army snort Duromine. Similar effects and doesn't show on a drug test.

For those saying doc won’t prescribe it without heaps of tests or unless you’re really overweight...NOT TRUE. I took my daughter to doc for acne problems when she was 16. My daughter eats well and excercise but is a little overweight ( about 5 kg) . Doc weighed her and said straight out do you want me to prescribe Duromine. My daughter said what’s that. I said hell no it’s like speed. Doctor said no it is nothing like speed. I said well you’re not giving it to my daughter. My daughter was so upset that the doctor thought she was so overweight she needed that drug. , this happened a couple of years back and I’d recently read a thread on here about people’s experiences with the drug, that’s why I said hell no.

if you suffer from depression please stay far far away from duromine. Even though you are able to ignore the anxiety and sadness during the day while you're energetic and getting shit done, after your kids are sleeping and you're trying to fall asleep all those nasty tiny fears start to creep up on you and climb in your head and before you know it, its midnight and you haven't slept at all and it feels like you can't catch your breath and you just know the next day is going to be hell and you do this all over and over again until you realize you're at your breaking point and hopefully your husband is there to pick up all the pieces. But you do lose weight, and then you put it all back on plus more when you stop. And also your kids get to watch you fall from grace. But that's just if you suffer from depression.

It's basically speed, keeps you awake, you get irritable, you have comedowns, it's addictive and you definitely won't get a prescription for duromine if you only have 5kg to lose but you can literally easily lose a kg a week by eating in a strict deficit and mild excersize 🤷‍♀️ 5 weeks of being mindful and commited, count your calories, up your water intake, do a YouTube work out, go for a walk and you're done.

Additionally you won't get a prescription due to being high risk of developing drug induced post partum psychosis, since your babe is only 4 months old. Which I would hope is reason enough for you not to take it.

ITS nickname is "legal speed'' and the potentially deadly weight loss drug Duromine's popularity is experiencing a dangerous revival.
The drug, which boasts of suppressing the appetite and assisting in rapid weight loss, has an active ingredient (phentermine) which can have the same affect as speed. Duromine is one of the oldest diet pills in the marketplace.

Phentermine can cause restlessness, insomnia, agitation, increased heart rate, headaches, increased blood pressure, dry mouth and vomiting.

If OP ate healthily and exercised weight shouldn’t be a problem (unless she has a medical condition).

I have used it successfully. My doctor monitoring fortnightly. I lost 1.5 kg a week and was on it for 3 months.
I had tried all kinds of diets before hand, I didn’t ask for it my doctor suggested it.
It helped motivate me to exercise more and took the hunger away so I had the mindset to choose what I ate instead of eating crap choices in a hurry.

Made me thirsty and i had to ensure I took it early in the morning otherwise it was difficult to get to sleep.

Believe me it’s not speed, those that consider it speed have never had good speed lol

I agree with first commenter, its 'speedy' but it definitely doesnt give you a high like speed. If you take it properly, eg drink lots of water, it actually doesnt do much except make you less hungry, which is exactly what its supposed to do.

What if you want to lose about 30kg? Will I get it then?

If you NEED to lose 30kg and you've seen a dietician, followed your GPS advice and a weightloss plan and failed... maybe. Your wants have little to do with it. No doctor out there will prescribe duromine without having you do a heap of alternatives first.

Yes but its not worth it you basically are told to eat very little while on it and then have horrendous side effects. Once off you gain all u lost plus more as the body cant cope. Mentally it messes with you and you dont sleep leaving u irritable. So relationships starts breaking down.

ANSWER
