Tmi- vagina

Answered 4 years ago

So, since December I have had these lumps on my vagina. Mainly inside (not up inside but around the clitoris area) anyway, been to the doctors roughly 5x. They've swabbed me for stis, I cluding genital herpes 3 times and it's all clear. These are like pimples, sometimes a painful lump, some are like a white head with pus. I hate it but the docs won't do anything else or look into it further. One said folliculitis and it will clear on its own. That was in January. Anyone have any ideas what it could be? So I can go back to the doctors armed with ideas because I hate it. I'm over it. I want them gone. I have about 10 right now and it's uncomfortable (they aren't big at all)

Get a referral from the GP to see a Gynaecologist or if you live in a major city there are appointments available at sexual health clinics.

have you changed any products that may come into contact with that area? may not be an allergy but may be enough to disrupt the area down there, enough to block pores and be painful?? I hope it clears up quickly x

I once had a Bartholin cyst on my vagina which is like a big ball of fluid under the skin and bloody painful but I don’t think it sounds the same as what you’re describing. It does sound more like folliculitis as you said they’re small, pimple like. I’ve also had similar to what you described, but only one or two spots, maybe once or twice a year, not a frequent thing. Like a whitehead and if you pop it the fluid comes out and stings a bit. Maybe it’s hormonal?, maybe it’s caused by shaving/waxing? or perhaps even your underwear? Try and find a good lady doctor to get another opinion from if you’re still worried, or for possible treatment options. I bought a big bottle of ‘ingrow go’ years ago which I use from time to time. It’s always been fabulous for reducing bumpy skin after hair removal. Goodluck!

That's what she said but 2 swabs came back negative. She also treated me for it with some antibiotics and it did nothing.

Find a specialist woman doctor; one who specialises in womens problems. I had a few problems that only got sorted when I found one.
She had simple solutions to problems that male doctors had no interest in fixing.
And solutions that they rubbished when I specifically asked about them.

I'd be finding another doctor who cares. Your current doctor probably wouldn't be too happy anyway if you were telling them how to do their job (at least mine would see it that way) 😊

I had something very similar some years ago. It was right above my clitoris. It looked like a pimple. Was there for months until I popped it and it never came back. Probably was a pimple. So weird.

These do pop but come right back. Allover the vagina area. I have multiple at a time and I'm soooooo over it and doctors not caring.
