Why are there so many gambling ads on tv lately??

Especially during prime time tv shows, how is this allowed?? It is a trigger for problem gamblers who are simply trying to watch tv. They don’t advertise drugs or smoking, so why is gambling allowed??

The government owns the biggest gambling site - lotto. Make too much money to ban it.
Personally I wish it was restricted until after 9pm. My ASD obsessive 8 year old is asking what these apps are because they look cool & is becoming fixated. Tv is now off when kids are around.
