I just sent flowers every birthday and mothers day for my mil. Well i still send them, but we're not together anymore, so i just tell my ex to provide me his card details and I'll organise it. The first year we split up he didn't send anything and his dad ripped him a new one over it, so he's happy with this arrangement 😂
My family don't care about gifts so much.

My sil organises her mum’s gifts from all of us, we all put in $50 every mother’s day, Christmas and her birthday. She does a good job and enjoys bargain hunting so it’s great.
For my Mum I don’t set a price - it depends what she needs or wants. So it might be her perfume, which is about $150 or it might be a plant she wants for the garden that costs $20 and a box of chocolates.
My dad gets a card or a phone call - he doesn’t do gifts and we don’t see each other a lot so that’s cool.

We don't really do birthday presents (we live in different states), but Christmas we spend approx $50 per parent. Will spend more if it's something we know they'll love.

Too much on my in laws... for people to don't appreciate thoughtful gifts. MIL in particular. Put so much thought and effort each year and she never uses anything. Puts it on a shelf and forgets it exists. Sits around in an ugly jumper from 1979 but won't wear a beautiful soft comfy Witchery jumper. Complains its cold, won't use a gorgeous scarf bought in Italy. I now refuse to put any effort - hubby comes up with stuff for her to shelve.

I buy for my parents and hubby buys for his. Except he usually forgets so he gets them nothing... oh well.
They have forgotten our child’s birthday too (or rather claimed they didn’t know his birthday) and I don’t have a close relationship with them anyway

$200-$300 usually for each on all occasions.
If it’s a holiday/weekend away type gift all the siblings chip in for something decent.

Roughly $50 each, only because we have a large family. There's a lot of birthdays in our immediate circle

Really depends! We spend more for a big birthday. Mum's 50th we have her a hot air balloon ride. I don't see the value. Just if they would like it or not. FILs birthday next year we plan to take him to Qld. It's not exactly a "budget" but generally where it sits.

Generally $50 for all. Will go higher if I know they will love it.
