As long as her ears are already pierced, she doesn't have any known allergies to the earring material and she is not young enough to try and swallow them. Also as long as all kids have a similar amount spent on them. It is okay and the thought that counts.

No, I wouldn't mind at all. If she's young, she'll probably lose them anyway, so investing in expensive jewellery is probably not the smart choice. Although, I would prefer piercing stud quality & they aren't expensive.
