If there is a 8 day to 6 day split in a fortnight and the parent who has the children earns about $40,000 more a year what happens with child support payments.
Thanks

I've looked at centrelink and it's very confusing.
I'm just trying to get a general idea of whether the parent with more time with the children (8 nights a fortnight) and earns a lot more receives child support because they have the children more (or vice versa - less time with children, substantially less money).
Thanks

It's really not that confusing. Use the rate estimator

You may still need to pay child support to the ex partner....definitely use the calculator on the myGov website to check.
