Cooking question

Answered 5 years ago

I have some Dahl left over, am going to wrap in puff pastry and make a sort of Curry Puff .... Can i freeze the puffs (pre cooked)? And would i just cook them from frozen? Im just unsure about using puff pastry from the freezer then returning it to the freezer??? help!

Also anyone have a simple dipping sauce idea?

Should be fine. I do this when I make a big batch of sausage rolls.

As for sauces, maybe a mint yoghurt or something?

Thank you! Sorry if this is stupid question, when you make sausage rolls, do you cook the meat first then wrap in pastry or wrap raw meat, freeze then cook?

I wrap raw then freeze. But I have also wrapped, cooked and then frozen as well and then just heat up when needed.

If you defrost something, the best way is to cook it before freezeing. If you make your own dough, you can freeze raw.

I think it's fine. You can freeze something raw, defrost, cook, then freeze.
