Who are your friends? I have four different friendship groups going on and when something wonderful happens each group celebrates and is happy for that person. And if something troubling happens they are there to support each other. These are four different groups of women who don’t know each other but they all act like this. I don’t think I could spend any of my precious time with uncaring people.

I'm actually one of those people who doesn't get overly excited. Most of the time I have to fake it. I don't know why I don't do the jig when someone says they're pregnant or things like that and In my defence I don't get ecstatic when something major happens to me either. Don't get me wrong. I will be happy for you but I'm not jumping over the moon for you. Ps I'm not a cynical person either. I'm very happy. I have a wonderful family and life. I guess it's built into me or something 😊

They are. I dont think people care much about engagements anymore and often people are unhappy about pregnancy as well.

This is true. I was applauded when I finished my degree but when I fell pregnant, people asked if I was keeping it.
Plain rude

From my experience they are. It may be related to the values of the people who you associate with. Certainly since becoming a SAHM I'm practically invisible, I don't think anyone ever thinks of me as a separate person anymore. It doesn't bother me personally as I've got a lot going on behind the scenes (education and other personal advancements) that I don't broadcast and therefore realise people don't know to ask about.
