I told him that I was done with him and I wanted something more serious than what he was offering. Then I met my now husband, and didn't Mr NonCommitment shit bricks then. He got his nose all out of joint when he tried to lay down his usual "hey cutie wyd on Saturday night?" And I didn't reply. Then he tried to dance with me at the club and my 6'2 honey came over and intervened. Apparently jerkface went around talking shit to our friend group about me after but I didn't care. They weren't my friends anyway.

Yes someone I once dated he was older and did it to control me- I feel sorry for my young 18 year old self but it showed me what he was like and I was able to move on.
