I’ve had three tests so far, my daughters have had 2-3 each and hubby 2. All negative thank goodness! But it is a charade to go through whenever someone is unwell.

my uncle was the 2nd person to die in Queensland he flew home from Sydney with my aunty and their kid and arrived home in Toowoomba after a cruise trip , he spent 5 days in isolation due to my cousin (his kid) being told to self isolate in a room and not to mingle as she started coughing a lot, she is 15 yrs old. and my uncle didn't want her alone so chose to isolate with her the entire time....He arrived home and collapsed and was rushed to hospital , 3hrs later was in an induced coma 5 days later the family had to say goodbye over the phone....however he had already been in contact with my mother and father, his other 3 kids before he collapsed, pretty much hugged and kissed them all hello and went to unpack and that's when he collapsed, he had been complaining of a tight chest but that was it....he had other problems with heart (marfanes syndrome and lungs had collapsed prior) so covid totally destroyed his lungs to the point they wouldn't inflate anymore it was to painful for him to even try and breath anymore, just sucks he fought through all the past hiccups for this to come and take him away from us....anyhow so yes my uncle was tested 2days after being in coma in ICU and to everyones surprise was positve and therefore my aunty and my mum and dad and 4 cousins all quarantined..only cousins and aunty tested...uncle died alone,...funeral was just as heartbreaking..,,but they all survived with a lot of anxiety and heartache knowing they lost their husband and father from same thing they all have, but they got through no hospital needed , none smoke none have underlying issues( my mother had cancer cut from lungs a few years ago and smoked 30yrs but quit 15 ago ,,she was quarantined with dad but neither were tested) but assumed they had it since others did....I think the total deaths at this stage in Australia was 19 ....he was not on the ruby princess but the other one the voyager I believe? there was a few cases on it but not to the extremities of the ruby

My 6 month old baby was tested last week - negative result. Was such a strange expression being in isolation in hospital and being treated like you had the plague. Can totally understand why all the precautions though.
