It is difficult, but i’ve worked part time (3 days per week) since my first born was 11 months and second was 6 months. It is difficult, can be stressful and also need to be quite organised. In saying that, i have a bit of money to play with, and a life outside my house. My children also are no worse off and it has helped them to make friends and do new things etc. do what is right for you, all you can do is try it and see if you can make it work. Good luck! It’s hard being a mother and working!

It is difficult if you have limited child care options. I've ended up in a totally different career sector so that I can work child friendly hours and not have to depend on often unreliable child care. Of course working full time often means higher child care costs but my son is 4.5 and the kindy program at his day care is sooo cheap compared to a normal daycare fee. Thank god! I work in aged care, visiting people at home. I start at 8am and finish by 2pm and it's ideal as a single parent while my child is young. Good luck 😊

I should also mention that it is totally worth it FOR ME. Every situation is different but I'm financially a bit better off and enjoy the security as well as getting out of the house.

How much are you roughly getting a hour? And what did you need to gain to become qualified? Thanks for your response!
