Are you breast feeding? If yes, cut out everything that is highly acidic in your diet. Citrus fruit, pineapple, tomatoes etc. You can also try going dairy & gluten free in your diet.
To treat the eczema, if there is a salt room near you, please consider making an appointment & taking your Bub there. Otherwise, go to The Body Shop & get the Hemp oil hand cream. It’s amazing.
Also please make sure bubs is not to hot in the clothes you put on them. Stick to cotton if you can & loose fitting, not to many layers.
Good luck

Second this my baby had it on 90% of her body. I cut out all dairy and wheat made a difference and also took her to salt rooms for a very long time. It’s a little bit pricey but I took her at least 4-5 times a week so worked out cost effective. Salts of the earth it was called in Victoria. Also keep lathering them up with cream don’t let them get dry. At her worst I was moisturising her every 20-30 minutes. We also had to go down the bleach bath route for a few weeks when it was really bad. My kids still use qv or dermaveen now in the shower. Some brands for moisturiser were cetaphil, avene, la Roche posey, I found worked well and to top it off I found a great naturopath that gave her some homeopathics that I believe truly helped. Also some baby probiotics get that gut health up from an early age. And yes don’t overheat bubz exczema babies are usually Burning in the inside

And to add. Stay consistent. It took me almost 4yrs to get rid of it completely. It starts to go away and you relax and then it creeps back in. It’s a viscous cycle

You could also try changing the formula & see if that makes a difference. There is a formula based on goats milk. It’s a little more expensive, but worth a try.

Besides the eczema has he had any other issues with formula? Could be a dairy thing?? You might not have to moisturise that often my daughter was very severe. Just try not let him get too dry that’s when it starts getting dry and itchy

U might have to use a steroid cream for a few days just to bring it under control. Elocon is probably the weakest of them and you could start with that

Good luck and I hope bub grows out of it. My daughter had it everywhere too. We moisturise everyday (still do) but for the real bad spots (knees and elbows) we use steroids. We tried natural but steroids were the only thing that works.

When she was young and scratched too much, we'd put socks/mittens on her and gave wet bandaged her.

Look at the allergy shop. They have clothes there too you can get.

We have tried many things, so good luck to finding the moisturiser for your bubs skin.

We use Epaderm Ointment. It's oily but it stays on. X

Go to doc and get a prescription cream. Also no soap ever. Dont worry too much about craddle cap yet.

My daughter has really bad eczema as a baby. In the bath, don't use any soap or baby wash of any kind, put in a little bit of Epsom salts and put some oats (just rolled oats that you'd eat) into a washing bag (like one you'd wash bras or stockings in) and leave it in the water to soak, then squeeze it and "wash" baby with the oats (Still in the bag)

Cutting citrus from my diet and Moo Goo body wash in the bath got rid of my sons eczema. Olive oil helped his cradle cap.

Don’t use soap in the bath. Try to wash in either pure soap flakes or just vinegar and double rinse clothing. Look at your diet if you’re breastfeeding and cut out wheat and dairy for a few weeks to see if it helps or consider changing to a lactose free formula if you’re formula feeding. Parafin lotion for bed time, sorbolene for nappy changes (apply every nappy change). If it is bad, and go to a doctor before doing this, you may need a steroid cream for a few days to get it under control then continue on using moisturisers. When bub starts solids be very cautious what you feed them.

I spoke to a chemist and he explained that lotion is the thinnest, then cream, then ointment is the thickest, so take note of what items are called. Creams weren't working, didn't seem to have any staying power. I ended up using Dermeze Treatment Ointment on my son, and it was great. It's basically super greasy and was long lasting. When we saw a doctor they also gave me a script for steroid cream/ointment for flare ups (usually behind knees and in elbows). I had to get the next strength up as the weakest one didn't do anything. We also used qv bath oil.

Rub olive oil (or whatever baby friendly oil you like) let it sit for a while, then use a toothbrush to gently brush it up off the scalp- worked great for my Bub. Check out itchy baby bath too, that could help with the eczema.

For the cradle cap, buy some olive oil from the chemist and apply, leave overnight and it will slowly come off just keep applying.
For the skin, use qv oil in the bath and any paraben free ointment or cream apply to damp skin to help absorb. Apply as often as needed

Could it be cradle cap?
Take bubs to the dr you might need steroid cream. Find a gentle baby wash, if you are using any Johnsons products i suggest throwing them out.
