Do you have cellulite?

Answered 4 years ago

Apparently 85% of women do but I honestly don’t know anyone besides me who has it. My sisters don’t. My cousins don’t. My friends don’t. I’m always seeing women my age wearing really short shorts and they don’t have it. And before the trolls start, I am a very healthy slim size 8. Ive never been bigger. But I have awful thigh cellulite.

Does anyone know what causes it and how to reduce it?

If you want to spend 6 days a week in the gym i'm sure that'll fix it but me personally I'd rather live my life outside of a gym. Don't worry yourself about it everyone is born different. My husband certainly doesn't care, cant keep him off me.

Actually one of my sisters is a total gym junkie and has it, but I don't. She is way more toned than I am and has a beautiful figure, just luck I guess.

I've always drank loads of water. My mother made me have the diabetes test when I was a kid because I always drank so much - i didn't have diabetes i just liked water 😆. That's not the answer.

I read somewhere that it's genetic and there's not much you can do about it.

I’ve heard that sugar in take can play a part in cellulite. If you tone up and cut out all sugar it may help. I was full addicted to sugar and for most of my life now I have cut it out but haven’t paid attention to whether it’s diminished my cellulite as I’ve got stretch marks now from losing heaps of weight 😝😝

Yep I get cellulite and about size 8. I find for me it’s an issue no matter my body size. I’ve always heard it can have to do with how much sugar you take in.

Do any of you responders cover up at the beach with boardies or do you embrace it and flaunt it?

I wear swimmer shorts not boardies but if i've faked tanned, done my thigh massages & feeling confident i wear a normal one piece. I don't care.

Yeah I've got it.
I just don't care enough to make it an issue. I had cellulite when I was a size 8, and now as a size 16, I still have cellulite. It hasn't changed in terms of how big it is or how deep the dimples are. It looks the same. Maybe that's because I'm still quite active (I walk at least 30kms/week).
I never let it bother me, and here's why:
At no point, ever, have I gotten nude or where my cellulite is visible, and had a man (my sexual preference) complain about it. Or even mention it for that matter.
Furthermore, the most sophisticated and trendy woman I've ever met has cellulite, and she still rocks! If she can embrace hers, why can't I embrace mine?
I hope that anyone who's self conscious about theirs can feel more at peace with it. Fuck feeling shitty about that. And fuck anyone who says anything negative about your body.

Yep I have it. Same as you, I'm slim (not fit) but the back of my thigh are terrible

Yep. Always had it, even when i was younger & i wasn't big either. I don't make a habit of flashing my arse around but in situations where you have too. Bit of fake tan makes in look less obvious. Also rub it firmly with moisturiser in a circular motion flattens it out a bit. Good luck.

Yes I have it and so do most of my friends.
