my neighbour parks their caravan outside my house

Answered 3 years ago

I have asked them to move it and they still keep it there for days on end.
I'm emotionally distraught and I dont know what to do? the caravan is less than 7.5 meters.
Suggestions anyone?

Contact council. See if they'll help because it's obstructing traffic & might contravene local laws. My council will happily go after anyone they can fine!!

My other advice is, once they move it next, put your car/s there so they can't. Or park in front of it so they can't move it & they have to ask & say you'll do it later, you're busy. Childish, maybe, but they'll get the point if you do it every time.

If it’s parked on the street and no one is living in it then what’s the damn problem.

Why not park it in front of their own house, then? I get that 'emotionally distraught' is a bit too much, but I've neighbours who refuse to park in their huge 6 car garage or driveway & park in front of my house instead. It means there's nowhere for guests to park as my driveway is incredibly steep & not suitable for parking & the huge 4wd's mean I can't see who's speeding down our long, straight street until I'm backed out onto the road where they can t-bone me. So, yeah, I get the annoyance, even if it's not illegal.

That sounds so horrible. I got frustrated of our neighbour parking on our lawn...I couldnt water it and they never moved it..eventually I wrote a friendly note saying I honestly don't mind them parking it there occasionally but keaving it there non stop was obstructing my use if the lawn. p. and could they please park in the always vacant street spots. It worked..perhaps you could try a note.., not the same reasons but worth a shot?
