 Complex regional pain syndrome.

No other pain comes close to CRPS. On the McGill Pain Index 0-50 it is around 45 it rates higher than amputation of a finger or toe 40. Unprepared childbirth 37-38. Toothache is 18. Fracture is 15. There is no cure for CRPS. Pain meds do nothing. It controls your entire life. Childbirth ends. CRPS is for life.

Thank you for the explanation :) do you have crps too?

Endometriosis. Because I've had 3 babies vaginally, so I went through labour. I've suffered endometriosis my whole life. It just never ends. I eventually had surgery to help alleviate the pain. It seems to have worked so far.

Me too. Finally had a hysterectomy after my family was complete and it was the best thing I’ve ever done for my health.

Migraines. I’ve been through childbirth, sports injuries and several major surgeries (as well as minor ones) but my migraines trump those. I’d take surgery over one of my full-blown migraines any day 😳

Mine is probably nothing compared to a lot of these but I hate having my teeth cleaned!!
I have very sensitive teeth and gums and it kills me.

I am the same, my first ever scale and clean I was gripping the chair. Never felt anything like it. From then onwards, I now always tell my dentist that I want to be numb for it, and I make sure I'm clear about that before anything begins.

Vomiting for 25 weeks with hyperemesis. I’d get cramps and stabbing pains from being so dehydrated.

Major kidney infection I had as a teen. I was laying on my bed screaming at my parents to take me to the hospital. They kept telling me "it's only period pain, it's not that bad". Finally gave in on day 3 and the dr did tests and I was put straight on IV antibiotics because it was that bad that my kidneys were starting to shut down and they couldn't even wait for the oral antibiotics to get in to my system. Had to stay in hospital for 3 days. My parents never questioned me when I said I wanted to go to the hospital again lol.

Wow I can’t imagine ever telling my daughter I wouldn’t take her to hospital if she was screaming in pain 😥

Yeah my parents were dicks lol. I cut my arm open one day (accidentally, not anything suicidal or like that) and I nicked the vein and got told "just hold a towel on it, go and make me a coffee and something to eat cause I'm not sitting in the hospital for hours without them." Yet go figure, if they come visit and my kids even have a cough they are up me cause I don't have them at the doctor's/hospital. They've gone from one extreme to the other

Infected wisdom tooth and after I had a laporoscopy the pain in my shoulder from the gas they pumped into my stomach, it felt like a heart attack and I couldn’t breathe properly.

 yes! Its pretty bad..

1. kidney infection. 2. Hemmerhoids with anal fissure (tear). Horrendous.
I've also dislocated and broken bones but didn't think it was as bad as either of the above. Different kinds of pain I guess.

After one birth my placenta came out in pieces. They were fishing bits out with forceps, then grabbed a dry cloth and started wiping it out while another nurse held me open. Blerghhhh 🤢 Most definitely worse than childbirth

I have an autoimmune disorder, and sometimes I wake up in absolute agony unable to draw deep breaths. I mean, I can breathe but only enough to speak gently and move carefully. Ive had xrays and tests done and all came back clear. Normal blood pressure, low cholesterol. But it feels like a stabbing pain in my chest. It happened mostly as a teen, but even as an adult I occasionally get them.

 Intercostal neuralgia?

Not to my knowledge. But I'll bring it up if it happens again.
