You could elaborate a bit more but I assume you're talking about the boys that drowned in the river.
I don't think it should be likened to the stolen generation, or 'saved' generation as you put it. That was not to do with the welfare of the children taken. This is why its really hard to take indigenous kids out of unsafe environments because people think it is a continuation of the stolen generation when it shouldn't be seen as that.
Any child that is in an unsafe, abusive environment should be removed if its not likely that environment is going to urgenty change. We should not be leaving these kids in these environments for fear of being accused of stealing them, that would be failing the kids. Unfortunately it happens all the time though.

Completely agree, protecting the children is different to "stealing them" no one wants to take children away from their families but sometimes if they are not safe or cared for it's the only option.

I believe more children need placing into living safe homes but are there enough safe loving homes to place them? It's a complex problem with no perfect solution.

Exactly, there aren't enough foster carers and many we have aren't equipped to deal with the traumas and behaviours that come with these children!
It's a messy situation and ends up a vicious cycle

Child safety, the family court and the police need to start doing their jobs! Then shit like this wouldn’t happen
