What vitamins and minerals do you and your family take and have found to be beneficial.

I have tried going into store and having conversations but always find they are very pushy and not the most helpful, I want to make a informed decision for me and my family. I don’t have the money to have a consultation with a nutritionist or naturopath.

I might get a lot of people disagree with me, but the vitamin industry is mostly a con. If you have a balanced diet then you shouldn’t need supplements.

I agree. They have their place, but a balanced varied diet is best.

My family doctor told me the same thing! Unless you have a deficiency in something, vitamin supplements are needed.

And most of those commercial vitamins out there have barely any of the vitamins in them that they are claiming to have. My doctor and naturopath said it’s almost like lollywater.

About five years ago I was having a whinge to my mum about me and the kids always being sick. Cold after cold after cold. She said to take vitamin C because that’s what we had as kids and never got sick. She was right. We take Vitamin C every day and we haven’t been sick since. We do have a very good diet tho so we don’t need multivitamins. I take calcium tablets when I remember but nothing else.

For me (mum) - Vitamin D (every woman should be on this), blackmores pregnancy multivitamin (im not preg. But find it very good), fish oil, occasional iron supplement. Vit C .

Teenage daughter - womans multi and iron supplement

Kids- kids multi, Centrum Iron Mixture

Also have probiotics here and there for all of us.
