Then a break while bride, groom, flower girls get ready and marry in the evening followed by drinks and entertainment.
Basically it means we get to spend time with our friends and family, play garden games, picnic style/high tea, it saves on catering as it wont be sit down and then relax and enjoy the evening.

Don't bother getting married. It's kinda rude to repeat marriage vows when you couldn't keep the first set.

Ok I'll bite....
I deserved to be in a marriage where he kept his marriage vows instead of shagging every girl that let him and then running off with a young backpacker so he could live his best life.
My new partner deserved to be in a marriage where his wife didn't treat him like a child. We kept our vowels - they didn't. Good riddance!
We've found eachother. Hes amazing. You bet I'm going to marry this wonderful and decent man.

I think it's a great idea! We married in the late morning then had a luncheon and afternoon reception finishing up about 5.30pm.those who wanted to keep drinking went to the pubs and those who would've felt obliged to stay at an evening reception could go home. Our kids were only 4 and 6 at the time and we wanted them there the whole time so it worked well for us

Sounds lovely. Just wondering if people are meant to squeeze in a dinner in between? Or when are they going to eat? Just nibbles at both garden party and drinks afterwards?

Good for you OP that you found someone deserving of your love and faithfulness. That sounds like a great idea. It incorporates everything; a little fun a little of the formalities without carving off your right arm and left leg, surrounded by the people that mean the most to you.
