Washing machines

Answered 4 years ago

We are building a house ( so I have a while to decide ) . When we move in I would like to buy a new washing machine. Our one is on its way out but I'm hoping it last long enough so I don't have to replace before we move. What's the best washing you reckon you have had or have ?

We'll be getting the LG twin wash washing machine. Its only just been released and will be ALOT of money but I want something that's going to last a very long time. This machine is supposed to have a fantastic warranty so that'll help the sale

They're about $5,000. For that price, you'd want it to fold and put the washing away afterwards 😘

Front loaders you can put under a bench or have the option of stacking washer and dryer . I prefer fronts but I've also never had a top loader so I don't have an expert opinion. Just been better and more convenient for us. We got a new LG one 6 months ago no issues and only like $700 new for a 7kg and it looks stylish also if that's a factor

My expensive Bosch dishwasher only last 5 years. I stupidly bought another and it died at 5 years also. Meanwhile my friends have Westinghouse, fisher and paykel, lg, and theirs have lasted ten years!

I prefer top loaders...I am quite tall and have a dodgy back so the front loader was a bit troublesome for me. Either way I think size matters. I have a 10kg washing machine, it is so good to be able to fit blankets and large doona's in with ease!

I have no preference, hubby feels it should be a front loader.

Front loader all the way

Over 30+ years I’ve had both- prefer front loader. I think they wash clothes better, use less water and you can usually buy a frame thing so you can mount your dryer on top. Overall saving precious floor space in the laundry.
